Book – Renaissance of a Domain
A book by Valérie Esnault on the Domaine de Poulaines,
Limited edition (200 copies).
Renaissance d’un Domaine was made with Christelle Fort / Les jardins typographiques (Find out more)whose workshop is in Diors. A graduate of Fine Arts with a BTS in visual communication, Christelle Fort was a typographical assistant with the organisation les mille univers before embarking on a career as a graphic designer / typographical printer. She was regional winner of Talents des Cité in 2005.
For the creation of this work, Christelle mixed several traditional techniques. She used lead characters – following the Gutenberg method as well as Heidelberg rotary printing and hot foil printing for the cover. She combined these techniques with contemporary mastery for the layout and final printing.
The book was printed in Châteauroux by Serge Guillaneuf, Alinea 36. It won the Coup de cœur prize in the Centre-Val de Loire regional Objet Touristique awards .
