Launch of an exhibition of work by two sculptors

« Grandeur Nature » (Nature’s Grandeur) Sculptures by Berangere d’Orsay.

Paintings from « Jardins imaginés et Jardins imaginaires » (Imagined Gardens and Imaginary Gardens) by Ghislaine Loyré de Hauteclocque.

Exhibition open throughout the month of August.

GARDEN Workshop : SOURCE OF INSPIRATION


Françoise Rocher, sculpture teaching fellow at the University of Strasbourg is holding a sculpture and visual art course. Présentation of artistic references (slideshow) and practical sculpture workshops on the theme of  « The Garden as a source of inspiration in artistic creation ».

Workshop from 9am to noon and from 2pm to 5pm.

Suitable for adults and children aged 8 and over.

One day : 12 € / adult and 8 € / children (under 15 years old).

Qualifications

Agrégation (French competitive higher education qualification) in plastic arts obtained in 1990

CAPES (French equivalent to PGCE) in plastic arts obtained in 1984

Professional Experience

Secondary school teacher from 1984 to 2000 for the Versailles and Strasbourg education authorities.

Lecturer/trainer in visual arts at the IUFM then the ESPE at the University of Strasbourg since 2000 as part of the MEEF (Teaching, Education and Training Professions) master’s.

Teaching an artwork analysis methodology module at the University of Strasbourg Arts Faculty since 2011.

Professional Skills

At the IUFM and ESPE since September 2000 as part of the MEEF master’s:

  • Educational training in visual arts and history of art for future teachers as part of a multidisciplinary training course
  • In charge of preparing the visual arts exam for the Concours de Professeur des Ecoles (School Teacher Exam) for MEEF master’s students
  • Professional dissertation supervision
  • Involvement in numerous further training courses for teachers to create connections between visual arts and other disciplines
  • Organising cultural events in collaboration with artists
